The Lucky Horse

by catfriend

Once upon a time there was a horse and her name was Shiny. One day Shiny was galloping with her rider. The rider didn't like Shiny. So here rider got a new horse and Shiny had no rider.
Two years went by and that day Shiny was so lonely that she ran into the woods. The next day everyone was looking for her. Shiny was still in the woods and she was not lonely anymore. All of the animals played with her, and Shiny did not want to go back because she was having the best time in her life.
The man that was her rider now knew that Shiny was in the woods. So Shiny went deeper into the woods – deeper and deeper and deeper. All the animals could go into the deep woods. Shiny was alone, and she also was sleepy, so she went to sleep.
When she woke up she saw her rider in front of her face! Then Shiny went back home. Shiny was sad, but then they had a party and Shiny was happy.
One day Shiny snuck back into the woods and her rider knew that she was in there again. But then the rider knew that Shiny loved the woods, and Shiny knew that she missed her rider. The next day Shiny went back, but then her rider was gone.
She went back into the woods. She did not see one animal. She was lonely. But then a lot of animals surprised her and her rider was with them! She was surprised. Her rider was happy and Shiny felt very lucky.

Book review: The Secret Garden

The Secret Garden
 by Frances Hodgson Burnett

There are a few main characters in this book. I like this book because it's so exciting. Mary Lennox , one of the main characters, goes to her uncle's mansion where she finds a secret garden. No one has been in it for 10 years, and she makes it come to life with the help of another main character, Dickon. He lives on the moor with his10 brothers and sisters. Along the way she finds her uncle's son, Colin. I'll let you read the rest.

My favorite part of the book is when the robin shows Mary where the key is. My least favorite part was when Mary was in India. Out of 10 stars, I would give The Secret Garden 8 1/2 stars.
